Brand

SNAG: swap now, art generated. The name is the mechanic. You swap the token, and the art is generated and delivered, without an extra step.

Status

The mark

A hook snags: the mark and the motion both come from that one idea. White is the machine, the hook and the frame. Lime is the coin and the piece it catches. The collectible is toy-like, glossy and exact, a collectible brand with working machinery behind it, friendly rather than hyped.

Drawn by docs/js/docs-tile.js, pixel-identical to contracts/src/SnagCollection.sol's on-chain imageForTraits.

Colour tokens

The site's own chrome, the pale mint pages this documentation and the landing page sit on. Light theme only.

TokenMeaning
--groundThe page background. Pale mint, never pure white.
--inkText and quiet parts. The deep green-black that reads as the site's real black.
--accentThe coin and the piece. The one lime that appears as fill.
--accent-deepThe only green allowed to carry text, when green text is needed at all.
--tintA pale lime ground for callouts, code and the glass pane's lightest shade.
--glowGlow and highlight only, such as the active page marker. Never used for text.
--cardWhite. The hook and the frame.

Piece artwork palette

The on-chain tile in contracts/src/SnagCollection.sol draws from its own, wider palette, all flat fills, no gradients, no filters and no outlines; the only ink in the picture is the pair of eyes. This is that whole palette, and nothing else appears in the artwork.

GroupHex valuesWhere it is used
Lime family#D6F7A0, #C4F36C, #B6F24A, #9BEA1E, #84E000, #4A9400The glass pane's two flat bands per tint, and the frost frame's rim and the crown's highlight dots.
Whites#FFFFFF, #F6FAF8, #EEF5F1, #E4EEE8, #DDE9E2The three frame finishes (gloss, satin, frost), the character body, the hands and the chain links.
Shade#A9C2B4The soft shadow behind the frame and the chain links.
Ground#CFDED4The tile's own background, behind everything.
Deep green#067A56The solid fill of every headwear option.
Accent#16BF86Headwear highlights: the cap's brim stripe, the bow's centre, the scarf's knot.
Ink#0F1419Eyes only. Nothing in the artwork is outlined.

Type

Display headings set in Geologica. Body copy in Public Sans. Mono only where the content is machine data: hashes, addresses, amounts and code, never for ordinary prose.

Do and do not

Do

  • Let the object (the hook, the piece) carry the page. Chrome stays quiet.
  • Write plain words a stranger can read in seconds.
  • Design phone first. 390 and 360 are the real canvas.
  • Use mono only for real data.

Do not

  • Add a colour outside the tokens or the piece palette above, a gradient on text, or a glassmorphism blur.
  • Use beige, brown, or a random colour tangent.
  • Stack a card inside a card, or use a side-stripe border for emphasis.
  • Use developer jargon in a label a buyer will read.
